As quirky as they come! Yes, this is indeed a striped knit with a velvet and rhinestone appliqué figure that seems to be a mash-up of Liza Minelli and Betty Boop. With her little purple microphone she is declaring "I Like the Night." It feels like a Halloween statement of purpose, but it's an all winter-long shroud of wackiness that defies explanation and description. Only signature is care label - 50% wool / 50% polycotton Made in Italy. There does seem to have been a label in the neck that has been cut out - but I could not begin to guess who manufactured this. Certainly the why is to delight the wearer and everyone who sees them in this snazzy sweater.
