True vintage and truly exquisite embroidered circle skirt with layered ruffle trim that gives the hemline body and flare - and also flair! Handmade and embroidered with extreme skill. Embroidery ostensibly done after the skirt was put together as it runs over the seams. Skirt is made in panels and the ruffles also have been applied after and hold the gores in place. Waistband has some signs of alteration, but does not affect the look and has been done skilfully. Closure with side zipper, hook and eye and snap fastener. Fabric is faille - possibly silk and embroidery seems to be silk thread.
