An exquisite 1940s day dress in bright linen weave cotton. Gathered bodice with yoke and chic contrasting black bow details and red clear buttons. Skirt is full and is pieced at the hem - also a little bit longer on one side due to the piecing. All part of the homemade make-do-and-mend charm of this piece!
Closure with snap fasteners on the bodice - no zipper or opening below the waist. The condition is very good overall, and I have worked to get a few formerly large and dark stains out of the skirt. Some faint residue of these, but the print is so bright and the skirt so full. I could not capture them in the photos! Pics have a medium full crinoline underneath the skirt (not included).
