A classic 1950s/60s little black dress in a demure style with flattering cut and made up in elaborate tape lace. The base layer of the lace is maroon (or possibly has faded very evenly to maroon over time) and this creates an allover two-tone effect. Adds drama and shows off the intricacy and texture of the ribbon weave of the lace. I'd say this dress is very much in the Dolce and Gabbana Sicilian vamp category, and it is the sort of piece you'll have forever and can wear in a variety of ways in your vintage wardrobe.
No designer or manufacturer labels - probably very skilfully home sewn. Fully lined, Back metal zipper.
